Welcome to my Genealogy Blog.
Why not spend a minute or two at my Blog to see if there is anything interesting to read. Perhaps I've written something about your ancestor, gave a hint on how to locate something, provided a different way to do research, or just gave a glimpse into the world of genealogy research through words or photos. I try to make it light and enjoyable.
My roots are from New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada.
Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.
I also have a blog called Seeing New England. Why not visit it, to get a feeling for the area.

I wonder if the Rev. William Emerson on this marker is the one who lived 1769 - 1811. There were several Rev. William Emersons. The one I mentioned is my 3rd cousin 6 generations removed, his father was also a Reverend, and his grandfather (all Williams) and several cousins (also all Williams)living nearby but not in Concord.
I also wonder what the connection is between all the men on the marker? Joseph Merriam 1677 is a 1st cousin 11 generation removed.
Heather, I wondered too about why their names are listed, and not 2 of my direct lines, Nathaniel and Eleazer Ball. Maybe the archivist at the Library would know. I'll have to remember to ask the next time I go. Thanks for your comment.
